Sri Mangal Dham Pranami Temple - Kalimpong

 

Sri Mangal Dham Pranami Temple is located in Kalimpong town in the State of West Bengal.

This temple was dedicated to Lord Sri Krishna.

The walls of the temple are covered with numerous paintings and models that depict various episodes from Krishna Leela.

Devotees can walk over the Dham to various areas, and the atmosphere is peaceful. There is a lovely garden with vibrant, aromatic flowers outside the temple.

Akshaya Navami

Akshaya Navami is observed on the ninth day of the Shukla Paksha in Kartik month in North India. it is also known as Amla Navami.     On this day, the Amla tree is worshipped as it is considered to be the abode of all Gods and Goddesses. The popular belief is that the Treta Yuga started on this day. Some people refer to the day as the beginning of the Satyuga. Lord Surya (Sun God) worshipped Goddess Durga on this day and was rewarded with properties that have him.   The once-in-a-year event, the procession of Sri Ugra Srinivasa Murty in Tirumala on the auspicious occasion of Kaisika Dwadasi will take place on November 13.
