Kalpeshwar Temple Timings - Uttarakhand




Kalpeshwar Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva. Situated in Chamoli district in Dev Bhoomi, Uttarakhand it is the only Panch Kedar pilgrimage open throughout the year.

This temple is at an elevation of 2200mts above the sea level.


Jateshwar is the main deity of this temple who is incarnation of Lord Shiva.


Lord Shiva is in the form of Jatas. Hence he is called as Jatadhar.


This is one of the Panch Kedar and this is where Lord Shiva’s Jata (hair) found here.


This temple is built in Nagara Style of architecture.


This temple was built 1000 years ago.


Best time to Visit – May to July, September to October.


The Weather is cold throughout the year. Rainfalls and snowfalls often occur here. One should wear proper winter clothes with muffler and gloves. An umbrella is must to carry.
