Sri Kodandarama Swami Temple - Buchireddy Palem


Sri Kodandarama Swami Temple is located at Buchireddipalem in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. 


The presiding deity is Sri Kodandarama Swamy along with Sita Devi and Lakshmana Swamy. The other deities Chaturbahuvu Lakshmi Ammavaru, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swami, and Tamil Poet-saint Andal Ammavaru are also installed in the main temple.


In every temple, Goddess Sita Devi is on the left side of lord Rama in Garbhalaya, but in this temple, Goddess Sita Devi is on the right side of Lord Rama Grabhalaya. So worshipping the goddess in this temple will cause wealth and Moksha in one’s life.


The main Rajagopuram is 100 feet height and Dwajastambham is 50 feet height.


According to Vasthu Sastra Pushkarini is located on the northern side of the temple but in this temple, Pushkarini is southside to the Temple.


This temple was built in the 17th Century.


The main Raja Gopuram is built with limestone and brick and is 100 feet height and the dhwajasthambam measures a whopping 50 feet height. The Temple has a Koneru in which devotees take a holy dip. This Koneru is enclosed within the four walls around it. According to Vasthu Sasthra Pushkarini(Koneru) is located on the northern side of the temple but in this temple, Pushkarini is Southside of the temple.
