PalliKondeswara Swami Temple is located in Surutupalle, Chittoor District of Andhra
Pradesh.
This is the only place where Lord Shiva is seen in the sleeping
position ( reclining position) also called Neelakantha.

This temple is located on
the banks of the river Arani.
Pallikondeswara Swamy is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He is 6 feet high along with a reclining pose.
Goddess Parvati is in the sitting position with the Lord’s head on her lap along with Kamadhenu and Kalpha Vruksham on either side.
Lord Dakshina Murthy is seen alone in most of the temples but here he is present with his consort.
This temple has 3 tier Rajagopuram.
