Sravan Shivaratri

Masik Shivaratri observed in the month of Sravan is known as the Sravan Shivaratri. Devotees observe a strict fast on this day. They perform Shiv pooja and visit Lord Shiva temples. All Lord Shiva temples are decorated beautifully and grandly observe this festival.



Sawan Shivaratri is observed grandly in Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Bihar. In amavasyant calendars, it is observed in Ashadam month.
