Yogadhyan Badri Temple Timings - Pandukeshwar
Yogadhyan Badri is
located in Pandukeshwar Village near Govind Ghat in Chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhand.
It is one of the
Pilgrimage of the Sapta Temples. It is fifth among the Sapta Badri temples.
As per Mythology the Pandavas
were born here, and King Pandu attained salvation and died here. Pandu
installed the meditating image of Lord Vishnu here. So it is popular as Yoga-Dhyan
Badri.
Suryakund is important
hot water Pond in the temple.
Kunti was married to Pandu
at Pandukeshwar.
It is also said that King
Arjun also meditated here which attracted God Indra.
It is believed the idol
of Vishnu which is present at the temple was given by Indra God to Arjuna as
Gift.
This temple is more than
1000 years old.
Best time to Visit – May
to July, September to October
The weather is cold
throughout the year. Rainfalls and Snowfalls often occur here. One should wear
proper winter clothes with mufflers and gloves.
