Sri Devadirajan Perumal Temple Timings – Therazhundur

 

Sri Devadirajan Perumal Temple is located in Therazhundur Village in Mayiladuthurai district in the state of Tamilnadu.


Sri Devadirajan Perumal is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Here Lord is in a standing posture with a height of 10 feet tall.


Goddess Sengamalavalli is consort of Lord Devadirajan.


It is one of the 108 divyadesam temples


Only in this shrine Thirumangai alwar praises both the lord and mother in his Mangalasasanam hymns.


This temple was built in Dravidian style of architecture. This temple has 3 tier Rajagopuram. The vimanam is known as Garuda Vimanam.


This temple is also one of the Pancha Krishnaranaya Kshetrams the five divine places of Lord Krishna.


Here Lord is believed to be a representation of Rakshakathvam the divine protection rendered to true devotees of Vishnu.


There is Koneru named as Darshana Pushkarini.


This temple was built in 9th century.


Vaikasi Brahmotsavams and Vaikunta Ekadasi are the most prominent festivals celebrated here.

Sri Raghavendra Swami was born as the second son of Gopikamba and Thimanna Bhatta in the year 1595. The great saint who was hailed as the incarnation of Prahalada, the great bhakta of Lord Maha Vishnu, was born in the Mrighashirsha Nakshatra at Buvanagiri which is in the present day Tamilnadu. Born as Venkatanatha and fondly called Venkata Ramana, Sri Raghavendra Swami was the epitome of piety and bhakti. After serving the world and the lord for a lifetime, Sri Raghavendra Swami attained Jeeva Samadhi in the year 1671. It happened on the Dwitiya of Krishna Paksha of the Shravana month. Tirumala: March 2025 Quota Details

  The March 2025 quota of Arjita Seva tickets will be released on December 18 at 10am by TTD online which includes Arjita Sevas viz. Suprabhatam, Tomala, Archana, Astadalam. The devotees shall register for these sevas from December 18-20 and those who got the tickets shall have to pay from December 20 onwards and before the 12noon of December 22. Meanwhile, the Arjita Sevas like Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjita Brahmotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara Seva tickets will be released at 10am on December 21 while the virtual sevas and gheir darshan slots on the same day at 3pm. TTD will release the  the Anga Pradakshinam tokens at 10am, SRIVANI tickets at 11am, Physically challenged and senior citizens at 3pm on December 23. Dhanurmas or Dhanur Masa is also known by the names Chapa Mas, Kodanda Mas, Karmuka Mas, etc. Dhanurmasa is also called Shoonya Masa because it is considered inauspicious to do any good things other than Godly and holy functions. In 2024  Dhanurmasam starts on  December 16 and ends on January 13, 2025. This period ends with the Makar Sankranti - the end of dakshinayana mostly occurs during the Pausha month of the Hindu Lunar calendar.
