  Sri Magudeswarar Temple is located in Kodumudi in Erode district of Tamilnadu. It is situated on the banks of the river Kaveri It is one of the Paadal Petra Sthalam. Here Lord Shiva is worshipped as Magudeswarar and his consort is Sundaranayaki.   Hariyali Amavasya is also called as Sravan Amavasya It is celebrated in Shravan month as per the North Indian calendar It comes a day after Sawan Shivratri after three days of Hariyali Amavasya Hariyali Teej is celebrated. Ashada Amavasya

Ashada Amavasya is very auspicious in the month of Ashada. Deepa Puja is the major ritual to perform on this day. On this day, people clean and decorate their houses and clean all diyas (deepas) they have in their houses and decorate them with colors. They clean and sanctify a  table with decoration and rangoli (kolam) designs around it. All the deepas are placed on the table and lit to perform a pooja. Deepa Puja is dedicated to Isha Devata and Pancha Maha Bhootas (Air, water, fire, sky, and earth). Like Diwali puja, in the evening once again all deepas are lit. Tirumala: Swamy Pushkarini to be closed from August 1 – 31

  The temple tank, Swamy Pushkarini will be closed from August 1 to 31 for one month to take up cleaning and renovation works. It is customary to take up repairs, and cleaning works of the Pushkarini, before the ensuing annual Brahmotsavams every year. The entire water will be bailed out and certain works including removal of sludge, cleaning of steps, conveyance of debris, painting of pipes, and repairing damaged points if any will be taken up.  Till the completion of works, the Pushkarini remains closed. The devotees are requested to make note of it and cooperate with TTD.

Pashupatinath Temple in Nepal

  Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, stands on the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu, Nepal. Shravan Somvar holds great significance because they are the special day of Lord Shiva in the special holy month. Highly auspicious results can be obtained by worshiping Lord Shiva on Shravan Somvars. It is believed that observing Somvar Vrat will help to attain prosperity and a long, peaceful family life. Those who fast during Shravan Maas, go to the temple and attend Rudrabhishekam. Somvar Vrat begins at sunrise on Monday. Andal Tiruvadippudi Utsavam from July 29

Sri Andal Ammavari Tiruvadipuram Utsavam will be held from July 29 to August 7 at Tirupati in Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple. As part of this, Thirumanjanam and Asthanam will be performed in the evenings for Sri Andal Ammavaru on these festival days. On August 7, on the occasion of Sattumora of Sri Andal Ammavaru from 9.30 am to 10.30 am, the Utsava Murthies of Sri Govindaraja Swamy and Sri Andal Ammavaru will be rendered Snapana Tirumanjanam. From 4 pm to 8 pm, the deities will be taken in a procession to Alipiri and a temple court will be held there. After the special pujas, the procession will return to the temple from Alipiri and Sattumora will be performed in the presence of Sri Andal Ammavaru at 8 pm.

TTD is organizing the Adi Krithika fete at Sri Kapileswara Swamybtemple on July 30. Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed to Utsava idols of Sri Valli Deva and Sena Sameta Subramanya Swamy as part of the festivities in the afternoon. Pavitrotsavams at Tirupati Sri Kodandarama Temple

  Annual Pavitrotsavams in Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple in Tirupati will be held from July 31 to August 2. The ankurarpanam will be held on July 30. On the first day Pavitra Pratista, the second-day Pavitra Samarpana, and Pavitra Purnahuti will be observed on the final day. Grihastas can participate on payment of Rs.500 per ticket on which two persons will be allowed.

Kamika Ekadashi

This Ekadashi is observed during the waning phase of the moon (Krishna Paksha) in the Shravan month in the traditional North Indian Hindu calendar, Kamika Ekadashi falls in July or August. However, in the Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, and Telugu calendars, Kamika Ekadashi falls in the Ashada month. This vrat is considered highly significant and auspicious for performing good deeds and seeking the blessings of the Lord. Holy baths take place in sacred rivers, such as Ganga, Yamuna, Sindhu, Cauvery, Godavari, Krishna, and so on.  According to Hindu beliefs, a devotee observing a vrat on Kamika Ekadashi is believed to have been blessed more than a person performing ritual baths in all the sacred rivers in India on auspicious days. TTD Limits Srivani Quota from July 22

  Because of the increasing pilgrim crowd to Tirumala, TTD has decided to reduce the SRIVANI Trust tickets, which comes into effect from Monday onwards. The online quota of SRIVANI tickets remains the same at 500 while among the daily quota of 1000 tickets offline, 100 will be issued at Tirupati airport and 900 at Gokulam Rest House in Tirumala. The devotees are requested to make note of this and co-operate with TTD.

  The online quota of Srivari Darshan and accommodation for October will be released on July 18 at 10 am. Pilgrims can register for electronic Lucky Dip till 10am on July 20 and those who get allotments should make payments and procure tickets between July 20-22 till 12 noon. The tickets of Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva. Arjita Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankara Seva will be released online on July 22    at 10am. TTD is releasing online virtual Seva tickets and their Darshan slots on July 22 at 3pm while the Anga Pradakshina tokens on July 23 at 10 am.
