Sri Katyayani Devi Shakti Peeth – Vrindavan

 


Sri Katyayani Devi Shakti Peeth is located near Radhabagh in Vrindavan of Uttar Pradesh state.

Goddess Uma the presiding deity of this temple, is an incarnation of Goddess Parvati.

Here Lord Shiva is worshipped as Bhuteshwar Mahadev.

Sati Devi’s ringlets of hair had fallen here and the temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas.

This temple has very beautiful architecture.

The Sword of Devi is popularly known as Uchawal Chandrahaas.

Here Goddess Katyayani, Lord Shiva, Lord Laxmi Narayan, Lord Ganesh, Lord Surya, and Jagatdhatri are also worshipped.

This temple was built in the year 1923.

Every during the Navratri festival, the temple is flooded with devotees.
