Sri Ranganath Swamy Temple – Vrindavan
Sri Ranganath Swamy or Rangaji
Temple is located at Vrindavan of Uttar Pradesh State.
Lord Ranganatha Swamy is
the presiding deity of this temple and Goddess Andal is the consort of Lord
Ranganatha Swamy.
Here Lord Ranganatha
Swamy is in a sleeping posture on Shesh Nag.
Lord Rama, Sita Devi,
Lakshmana, Narasimha Swamy, and Venugopala are worshipped on the premises.
This temple was built in
the year 1851.
This temple was built in the
Dravidian style of architecture and has 6 tier Rajagopuram.
This temple celebrates Brahmotsavam, a 10-day
festival in March / April. The festival is popularly known as Rath
ka Mela, where devotees pull the Rath to the nearby garden from the temple. The
annual Jalvihar festival is also another main attraction of the Rangaji Temple
when devotees in large numbers participate in the ritual bathing of the idol.
