  Garuda is the Vahana of Lord Vishnu. In Tirumala, every year on the fifth day of Brahmotsavams garuda Seva is performed. Nearly more than 5 lakh devotees visit Tirumala on this day.   The outside temples under the umbrella of TTD are gearing up for the Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Dwadasi festivities on January 10 and 11, respectively. Special festivities will be performed on these two days at the ancient Soumyanatha Swamy temple at Nandalur, Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy at Avulapalle in Somala Mandal of Chittoor, and a similar one at Borragmanda in Sadum Mandal of Chittoor. Also, at the Sri Konetiraya Swamy temple of Keelapatla, special festivities will be performed.
