2021 : Sri Sundararaja Swamy Annual Ustavams at Tiruchanur

The annual Avatarotsavams of Sri Sundararajaswamy at Tiruchanoor will be observed from June 28 to July 01. Konark Sun Temple, Konark Sun Temple Timings

  Konark Sun temple is located in Konark in Puri district in the state of Odhisa. Lord Surya is the presiding deity of this temple and he is swayamboo The temple was built in the form of huge chariot of the sun god fitted with 24 wheels i.e 12 wheels in both sides and 7 horses in front of the temple. The wheels probably represent the 12 months of a year and the horses   seven days of a week. Every day the sun rays would reach the Nata mandir from the coast and reflects from the diamond placed at the center of the idol. There are three images of the sun god positioned to catch the rays of sun at morning, noon and evening. Kona meaning corner and Arka meaning the sun. TTD will release the Rs.300 online quota for the month of July on June 22 by 9am. Devotees are requested to make note of this and book Darshan tickets in advance. The accommdation quota of July will be available from June 23 rd by 9 am.

Gayatri Jayanti

Gayatri Jayanti is Observed on Ekadasi day in Jyeshta Month. The next day after Ganga Dussehra. This day is  celebration to worship the mother of Vedas. Goddess Gayatri is worshipped as Veda Mata or the mother of Vedas, Dev Mata and Vishwa Mata. The Goddess is believed to have five heads. Four of the heads are a representation of the four Vedas while the remaining one represents the almighty. The celebration of Gayatri Jayanti involves offering prayers and chanting the Gayatri Mantra. The prayer also includes performing a number of rituals and customs that mark the respect for the Goddess. Must read Gayatri Mantra on this day.   2022 Date : June 11th.

2021 : Special Sahasra Kalabhishekam for Bhoga Srinivasa Murthy on June 20

The annual Special Sahasra Kalasabhishekam will be performed on June 20 commemorating the consecration of Bhoga Srinivasamurty. About 14 centuries ago, Pallava Queen Samavai Perundevi has presented a foot tall Silver idol of Bhoga Srinivasamurty which is considered as the replica of the main deity of Venkateswara Swamy. TTD has been observing this fete since 2006 celebrating the historical occasion. On June 20 Special Sahasra Kalasabhishekam will be observed in Ekantam in Vendi Vakili between 6am and 8:30am.
