Tirumala: Koilalwar Tirumanjanam on April 02

  Ahead of Ugadi festivities, the temple cleaning fete of Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam will be conducted at the Srivari temple on April 2. As per tradition, the temple cleaning program is performed at the Srivari temple on any Tuesday ahead of annual festivals like Anivara Asthana, Brahmotsavam,, Vaikunta Ekadasi, and Ugadi. This year the Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam will be conducted on a grand scale between 6.00-11.00 am from April 2. Tirumala: Annamayya Vardhanti Utsavas from April 04 – 08

TTD is grandly organizing the 521st Vardhanti of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya from April4-8 at Dhyan mandir and the 108 feet Annamaiah statue at Tallapaka in Kadapa district Narayanagiri gardens in Tirumala and Annamacharya Kala Mandir at Tirupati. The festivities will begin at Padala Mandapam in Alipiri, Tirupati at 6.00 am on April 4, and a vibrating  Saptagiri sankeertan Gosti Ganam at Narayanagiri Gardens on the same day evening. Somavati Amavasya

  Somvati Amavasi, or Somavati Amavasya, is no moon day that falls on a Monday (Somvar) in the traditional Hindu calendar.  It is considered a highly auspicious day and millions of people take a holy dip in sacred Rivers like Ganga and Yamuna on the day. Married men and women also perform different pujas and rituals and also undertake Somavara Amavasya Vrat. The Significance of Somvati Amavasya was narrated toYudhishtra by Bhisma in the Mahabharata. It is said that whoever takes a bath in the sacred rivers on the day will be prosperous, free of diseases, and would be free from grief and sorrow. There is also a popular belief that the souls of ancestors will rest in peace if children and relatives take a holy dip in the sacred rivers. Shani Trayodashi

  The Trayodashi falling on a Saturday is called Sani Trayodashi. It is considered the most auspicious for Shani puja as it is the favorite day of Lord Shani. He is one of the important planets from the celestial Navagrahas from Hindu astrology. People who are suffering from the adverse effect of Shani or who are undergoing the period of Elenati Sani (Sade-Sani), Ardhastama Sani, Ashtama Sani, or its Antar Dasa are generally advised to perform necessary remedial measures to please Lord Shani to beget his blessings. On the day of Sani Trayodasi, natives have to perform tailabhishekam. Some black grams, 100 grams of ginger oil packet, one-kilo coal, a small black ribbon, 8 iron nails, and some Navadanyams that are to be tied in a black cloth and donated the same to the temple priest or drop the same in running water will definitely please Lord Shani Bhagavan. Offer food items to a crow and feed the needy persons. This Saturday, do not purchase oil, leather, umbrellas, Navadanyams, etc..

Papamochani Ekadasi

  This Ekadasi Vrat is the last of the 24 Ekadasi vrats in a Hindu year. This Ekadasi falls on the 11th day of the waning phase of the moon. Observing a vrat on Papamochani Ekadashi is highly significant as a sincere devotee can get rid of all his sins committed so far. Observing Vrat  : Legends revolve around a sage named Medhavi who was a loyal devotee of Lord Shiva. This sage was performing Tapas (austerity) in a forest called Chaitraratha, well-known for bearing beautiful and aromatic flowers. In addition, Indira, demigods, apsaras, and other heavenly beings often visited the forest. Often the apsaras and damsels of heaven made several attempts to interrupt the meditation of the sage but in vain. Eventually, an apsara named Manju Ghosa betted upon disturbing the sage’s meditation. Sri Chennakesava Swamy Temple – Hullekere

  Sri Chennakesava Swamy Temple is located in Hullekere Village in Arasikere Taluk in Hassan district of Karnataka State. Srinivasa Mangapuram: Pushpayagam on April 04

  The annual Puspayagam will be performed on April 4 at Srinivasam Mangapuram temple with Ankurarpanam on April 3.   It is known that the annual Brahmotsavam was held in the temple from February 29 to March 8.  Pushpa yagam is usually performed to atone for any errors committed by priests, office staff, and devotees either knowingly or unknowingly.   It is believed that by performing this, all the errors will be waived. As part of this, Snapana Tirumanjanam will be held for Sridevi Bhudevi Sametha Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Utsavarlu on April 4 between 10 am and 11 am.   Pushpayagam will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm.    In this, the utsava deities will be offered a floral bath with various flowers like tulsi, chamanti, ganneru, mogali, jasmine, Jaji sampangi, rose, and lilies. TTD has canceled Astottara Sata Kalasabhishekam on April 3, Tiruppavada, and Nitya Kalyanotsava Sevas on April 4 because of the annual Pushpayagam.

Tirumala: Pournami Garuda Seva on March 25

  The monthly Pournami Garuda Seva will be held on March 25 at Tirumala on the auspicious occasion of Phalguna Pournami. TTD conducts Garuda Seva every month on the full moon day.   As part of this,    Sri Malayappa Swamy in all His religious splendour, appears on Garuda Vahanam to bless the devotees along the streets of Tirumala between 7 and 9 pm.
