Tirumala Tirupati Brahmotsavam Dates 2024

Tirumala Brahmotsavam is an annual festival at  Lord Venkateswara Temple celebrated for nine days in September and October. In this year 2024, Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy   Brahmotsavams   will be celebrated from  October  15 to   October 23. Popular stories trace the origin of this celebration to Brahma, the creator God, who first conducted this festival in Sri Balaji at Tirupati. Brahma worshiped Sri Balaji on the banks of the holy Pushkarini in Tirupati as a way to give thanks for the Lord’s protection of mankind. Sri Paidi Thalli Ammavari Temple is located in Vizianagaram District. This temple is one of the major religious places of Andhra Pradesh. This Temple has a history of the 18 th Century. Pahari Mandir - Ranchi

Pahari Mandir is located in hilltop in Ranchi in the state of Jharkhand. The temple is dedicated to Shankara, who is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. Sri Mallikarjun Swamy Temple – Chinmalla

  Sri Mallikarjun Swamy Temple is located at Chinmalla village in Afzalpur Taluk in Gulbarga district of Karnataka State. It is located on the banks of the Bhima River. Guru Dwadashi is observed on the 12th day, and Krishna Paksha in the month of Ashwin is followed in South India. Whereas in North India the corresponding month is Kartik Masam. It is also popularly known as ‘Nandini Vrat’ and is observed on the ‘Dwadashi’ (12th day) of the ‘Krishna Paksha’ in the ‘Ashwin’ month.   It falls on the ‘Ekadashi’ of the Krishna Paksha during the month of ‘Kartik’. It generally falls in the month of October-November. While Rama Ekadashi is observed in the month of Kartik according to the North Indian calendar, it falls in the month of ‘Puratassi’ as per the Tamilian calendar.   Atla Taddi is celebrated in the Indian month of Ashwayuja and falls on the third night after a full moon.   It falls in October or November every year. It is a traditional festival of Andhra Pradesh and is celebrated by Hindu married women to seek the blessings of Goddess Gauri for a happy and long married life. This festival is symbolic of the strength of a woman and the effect of her good deeds that benefit her husband.  Legend : According to mythology, Atla Taddi is a ritual that was suggested by Goddess Gauri to be practiced by all young unmarried girls to seek Her blessings for a suitable bridegroom. Rituals : This festival is celebrated by women and children. Women and children wake up early before sunrise and have saddi (rice cooked the day before night) with perugu (curd) and Gongura chutney. On the eve of Atla Taddi, women and girls apply Mehendi on their palms. The entire day is spent singing traditional festival songs, swinging, and preparing special food for the occasion.

Sri Mahadeva Temple - Peruvanam

Peruvanam Mahadeva Temple is located at Peruvanam in Thrissur district in Kerala State. Here the deity is in the form of Lingam and facing in the West direction. It is one of the famous 108 Shiva temples in Kerala. This temple is built in the Kerala Style of architecture. It is surrounded by Bhadrakali and Subramanya temples on the west, a Sastha temple on the north, a Vishnu temple on the east, and a Durga temple on the south. Lord Shiva in dual linga form is the temple's main feature and the Lord is called “IRATTAYAPPAN” which denotes duality.  The Srikolvil of Madathilappan is the tallest Srikovil in South India. The temple stands on a 7-acre ground surrounded by a compound wall. The structure of Shrikovil (main shrine) is square-type, which is rare in Indian temples. Also, the inner courtyard can be reached from two sides, i.e. east and west while the main entrance lies on the east. The Irattayappan shrine has been built on a circular base. Also, the Matatthilappan Temple is si
