Sri Vishnupad Mandir Timings – Gaya

  Sri Vishnupad Mandir is located in Gaya city in the state of Bihar. This temple was built on the banks of river Falgu. There is a footprint of Lord Vishnu in the mandir. It is imprinted in solid rock known as Dharmasila and surrounded by Silver plated basin. It is believed that this footprint happened when Lord Vishnu kept his right foot on the chest of the demon. This temple was built in Shikhara style of architecture. The temple stands the immortal banyan tree Akshayabat where the final rituals for the dead takes place. The construction date of temple is unknown and it is believed that Rama along with Sita had visited this place. Srivari Darshan to Devotees who missed due to Bad Weather.

  For the sake of the pilgrims who could not make it for darshan due to inclement weather conditions in Tirumala and Tirupati inspite of having tickets, TTD has planned a special software for facilitating Srivari Darshan between November 18-30 . Devotees who missed Srivari Darshan inspite of valid tickets owing to bad weather conditions in Tirumala and Tirupati, such devotees will be facilitated with rescheduling darshan tickets which they could avail in six months. The devotees who have darshan tickets between November 18 to 30 shall avail darshan with the same tickets in Tirumala before November 30. The devotees willing to have Srivari darshan from December onwards, shall have to reschedule their darshan date within six months by entering the old ticket number in the new software which will be available at their disposal from November 30.

2021 : Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam in Tiruchanur Temple

Koil Awar Tirumanjanam will be observed in Sri Padmavati Ammavari temple at Tiruchanoor on November 23 in connection with the annual Karthika Brahmotsavams.   The entire temple will be cleansed with the traditional Parimalam on that day from 6am to 9am.   Later the devotees will be allowed for Darshanam.

2021 : Pavitrotsavams at Nagalapuram Vedanarayana Swamy Temple

TTD is organising the annual Pavitrotsavam fete at Sri Vedavalli sameta Veda Narayana Swami temple, Nagalapuram from November 30- December 1.   The ritual is aimed at making temple premises sin-free following year-long fetes, utsavas and possible lapses, inadvertently if any, committed by devotees or Archakas or officials.   As per the schedule of events Ankurarpanam is held on November 30 evening, Snapana thirumanjanam for utsava idols of Swami and consorts on December 1 followed by Pavitra pratista, Pavitra samarpana and Purnahuti at night.

What is Jwalathoranam

  Jwalathoranam is a great utsavam performed during Karthika Purnima day in Lord Shiva Temples. Two big wooden sticks are erected and and another stick is placed upon horizontally as a thoran. The horizontally placed stick is tied with a huge dry grass. The grass is lit with fire at the beginning of the Utsavam. Those who walk along with the procession under this Jwalathoranam will escape from sorrows.

2021 : Kaisika Dwadasi Asthanam at Tirumala

Kaisika Dwadasi Asthanam will take place in Tirumala on November 16. As per Puranic evidences, Kaisika Dwadasi is also known as Prabhodotsavam or Uttana Dwadasi. Every year on the auspicious day of Ashada Shukla Ekadasi, Sri Maha Vishnu goes into celestial sleep Again He wakes up on the auspicious day of Kaisika Dwadasi. On this day, the processional deity of Sri Ugra Srinivasa Murthy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi will be taken on a procession along four Mada streets during the early hours and returns even before the sunrise. Later Kaisika Dwadasi Asthanam with Purana parayanam will be performed inside the temple.

2021 : Laksha Kukumarchana in Tiruchanur on November 29.

In connection with the annual Karthika Brahmotsavams in Tiruchanoor which is scheduled from November 30 to December 8, Laksha Kumkumarchana will be performed through a virtual platform on November 29. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, the event will take place in Ekantam. TTD has fixed the price of the Seva ticket at Rs.1,116 on which two persons will be allowed. These tickets will be released soon online. The devotees will be allowed for darshan within 90 days from the date of booking of an online ticket through the Rs.100 queue line, free of cost. Dos and Don’ts of Ayyappa Deeksha

Some Instructions to be followed during Ayyappa Deeksha. DO'S   Do the bath in early morning with normal water.  Do the pooja in the morning(before sun rise) and evening (after sunset).  Do the bath in evening with normal water.  Have one time meals. Do the Anna Danam to others.  Sleep on ground without pillow and bed. Eat vegetarian food. The cook must also do the head bath and then he should prepare food for Swamies. Again it relates to cleanliness, which will stop the unhealthiness. Talk Less. Don't waste time for Useless Discussions. Help others. This is what we have to learn by doing Deeksha. Do the Brahmacharya. Maintain simple life. Don’ts:   Don’t smoke, Don’t drink., Don’t eat non-vegetarian food. Do not use foot wear. Don’t cheat others, Don’t say lies. Don’t do violence. Don’t argue with others on any matter. Don’t do hi-tech  Deeksha.
