Abhyanga Snan during Deepavali.

  Abhyanga Snan is an old age tradition to Purify the body It is a holy bathing ritual preceded by a body massage with Sesame oil on Naraka Chaturdashi morning. This holy bathing tradition is believed to have calming effects on mind and body. As per legends Lord Krishna bathed after the death of Narakasura, this was done to remove stains of Narakasura’s blood from his forehead. Various aromatic herbs is used for bathing. It is done to eliminate laziness and everything negative or evil from one’s life that misleads them.

Arunachala Giri Pradakshina (Circumambulation)

Sri Appakkudathaan Perumal Temple Timings – Koviladi

  Sri Appakkudathaan Perumal Temple is located at Koviladi Village   near Tiruchirapalli in Thanjavur district in the state of Tamilnadu. This temple is on the banks of river Cauvery. Appakkudathaan Perumal is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is in Bhujanga Sayana Posture here. Goddess Kamalavalli is the consort of Appakkudathaan.   Sri Pachamalai Subramanya   Swamy Temple is located at Gobichettipalayam in Erode district in the state of Tamilnadu. Pachamalai means Green hill. Subramanya Swamy is the main deity of this temple. 2021 : Deepavali Astanam at Tirupati Govinda Raja Swamy Temple

The annual Deepavali Asthanam will be observed in Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati on November 4. New silks will be presented to the presiding deity from Sri Pundarikavalli Tayar Sannidhi and Asthanam will be observed between 5 pm and 6 pm on the same day. In connection with Deepavali Asthanam, the Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be performed on November 2.
