Sri Mavullamma Ammavaru temple is situated on Kurisettivari Street in Gandhi Nagar in the Andhrapradesh town of Bhimavaram in the West Godavari district. While Puranas claim that Mavullamma's idol first appeared in the year 1200 AD, the lettering on the marble in the temple reads 1880 AD. Mavullamma is the Gramadevata.
