Sri Nimishamba Devi Temple Timings - Srirangapatna

  Sri Nimishamba Devi temple is located at 2 kms from Srirangapatna town in Mandya district in the state of Karnataka. This temple is located on the bank of Cauvery river. Nimishamba devi is an incarnation of Goddess Parvati There is a big brass bell hanging from the ceiling which is rung by the priest after placing the bali bhojanam on the bali peetam for the crows to eat. Once the bell is rung, the crows   come down to the bali peetam in an orderly way to partake it. It is indeed unique to this temple. Here the goddess removes the problems and troubles of devotees within in minute. That is why she is called as Nimishamba. This temple has 5 tier gopuram and resembles the construction of south Indian temples. This temple was built during 1578 to 1617. Sri Moukthikeshwara swamy and Sri lakshminarayana swamy idols of Lord Surya bhagavan, Ganapathi and Hanuman are present in the premises. Best time to visit – September to February Traditional dress is allowed for darshan.

2021 : Srinivasa Mangapuram Temple Vasantotsavams

TTD will be organising annual Vasantothsavams at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram from May 29 to 31 in Ekantam under Covid guidelines. As part of the celebrations, Snapana thirumanjanam fete will be performed for the utsava idols of Sri Venkateswara and His two consorts on the first two days and on last day Sri Sita Lakshmana Anjaneya sameta Sri Ramachandramurty and Sri Krishna and His consorts will also be offered Snapana Tirumanjanam. The significance of the festival is the worship of the Utsava idols with seasonal fruits, flowers and aromatic leaves in the autumn says Archakas.

2021 : Alipiri Footpath to be closed from June 1st

With   a view to fast track the repair and top-slab works of the footpath from Alipiri to Tirumala, the TTD has announced its closure from June 1 to July 31. TTD stated that the devotees desiring to reach Tirumala on foot could utilise the Srivari Mettu path.  TTD would provide free buses up to Srivari Mettu from Alipiri.

  Sri Padalathri Narasimha Swamy is located in Singaperumal Koil near Chennai in the State of Tamilnadu. The deity in a cave is a rock-cut image, in seated posture with his right leg bent and left leg hanging has four hands with two of the top hands holding his Conch and Chakra, while the other two hands showing Abhaya Mudra and Uru Hasta. 2021 : Pournami Garuda Seva on May 26th at Tirumala

The monthly Pournami Garuda Seva will be observed at Tirumala on May 26. A grand procession of richly jewelled majestic Sri Malayappa Swami on Garuda vahana will be held along the Mada streets to bless the devotees between 7pm and 9pm on Wednesday evening.

2021 : Narasimha Jayanti in Tirumala on May 25

In the advent of Swati Nakshatram on May 25, Sri Narasimha Jayanti will be observed in Tirumala. Every year in the auspicious Vaisakha month, on this holy day, a special abhishekam is performed to Sri Yoga Narasimha Swamy Mulamurty, a sub-shrine located inside Tirumala temple. As part of Vaisakha Masa special Utsavams, Sri Narasimha Swamy Puja will be observed between 8:30am and 10am.

TTD is organising the grand annual Vasantothsavam of Sri Kalyana Venkateswara temple Srinivasa Mangapuram from May 29-31 in Ekantam due to Covid guidelines. In this connection, TTD will conduct every day Snapana Tirumanjanam and Asthanam for utsava idols of Srivaru and His consorts. On the last day Sri Sita Lakshmana Anjaneya Swamy Sameta Sri Rama, Rukmini Satyabhama Sameta Sri Krishna Swamy will also join the Utsavam.  

2021 : Teppotsavams at Devuni Kapada Venkateswara temple

TTD is organising annual Teppotsavams of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy temple in Devuni Kadapa of YSR Kadapa district from May 24-26 in Ekantam due to Covid guidelines. As a part of the festivities, daily Snapana Tirumanjanam will be held to utsava idols of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara and His consorts in the evening.

TTD will release the Rs.300 online quota for the month of June on May 21 by 9am. Everyday 5000 tickets will be available. Devotees are requested to make note of this and book Darshan tickets in advance.

2021 : Padmavati Parinayotsavams from 20th May

The annual Padmavathi Parinayotsavams will be observed in Ekantam from May 20 to 22 in Tirumala temple in view of the Covid pandemic. According to legend, Akasa Raja did the celestial marriage of his daughter Padmavathi with Srinivasa on the auspicious day of Vaisakha Suddha Dasami in the advent of Purva Phalguni Nakshatra. TTD has been observing this fest since 1992.  On the first day Sri Malayappa Swamy will be seated on Gaja Vahanam, second day on Garuda and on the final day on Aswa Vahanam. Everyday there will be Parinayotsavam rituals from 3pm onwards in Kalyana Mandapam inside the temple complex. TTD has cancelled Arjitha Brahmotsavam and Sahasra Deepalankar Seva in connection with this festival.
