Seven Hills of Tirumala

  The seven hills situated around Tirumala are Vrushabhadri, Anjanadri, Vrushadri, Garudadri, Seshadri, Narayanadri, and Venkatadri. VRUSHABHADRI - Once, there lived an Asura called Vrushabasura who lived near Thumburutheertham in Tirumala. He used to do great penance with full austerity. Lord Siva, in due course, appeared before him and directed him to ask for any boon. Asura, with his demonic thoughts, wanted that he would like to fight with Lord Siva Himself. Siva obliged him. There was a fierce battle and the Asura was defeated. However, he requested Lord Siva to name that place after him. 2022 : Maha Samprokshana at Bengaluru TTD Temple

TTD is organising the Balalaya Astabandhana Maha Samprokshana fete at SV temple in Bengaluru from May 9-11 with Ankurarpanam on May 9 evening.   As part of the three-day celebrations, Chaturdasha Kalasa Sthapana and other vaidika programs will be held at yagashala on May 10 and Ammavaru Vigraha pratistapana and Asta Bandhanam will be performed in the evening.   Maha Shanti abhisekam will be conducted during the wee hours of May 11 followed by Maha Samprokshana fete in Mithuna lagnam.   Later in the evening Shanti kalyanam and procession of swami and ammavari utsava idols will be held.
