Skanda Sashti Dates 2025

  Skanda Sasthi is dedicated to Lord Murugan or Subramanya Swamy. It is the sixth day of every lunar fortnight in the Hindu Calendar. The Shasti falling during the waxing phase of the moon is celebrated as the Skanda Sashti. Devotees of Lord Murugan Observe Full or Partial Fast on this day. Difference between Kumbha Mela and Maha Kumbh Mela

There are four types of Kumbh Melas: Purna Kumbh, Ardh Kumbh, Maha Kumbh, and Kumbh Mela. Maha Kumbh is going to be held in Prayagraj and will start from January 13 and conclude on February 26, 2025.   Many special festivals will be held in January 2025 at Sri Kodanda Ramalayam in Tirupati. Their details are as follows. On Saturdays, January 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th, Abhishekam will be to Mula Murthies at 6 a.m. and Unjal Seva at 5 p.m . January 10 on the occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi Special Pujas  January 13  on the occasion of the Pournami, Ashtottara Shata kalasa Abhishekam will be performed at 8.30 am. Vaikunta Ekadasi/ Mukkoti Ekadasi

Vaikuntha Ekadasi is one of the important and auspicious days for Hindus. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It occurs in the Hindu calendar, in the month of Margashirsha (Between December and January). Also called the 'Mukkoti Ekadasi', when observed, it bestows liberation from the cycle of birth and death.  Devotees believe that ‘Vaikuntha Dwaram’ or ‘the gate to Lord's Inner Sanctum’ is opened on this day. Devotees observe Ekadashi fasting and rush to Vishnu temples on this day, They believe that the gates of heaven are opened.   Somvati Amavasi, or Somavati Amavasya, is no moon day in the traditional Hindu calendar that falls on a Monday (Somvar).  It is considered a highly auspicious day and millions of people take a holy dip in sacred Rivers like Ganga and Yamuna. Sri Komuravelli Mallana Kalyanam and Jatara Dates 2025

  Sri Komuravelli Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple is in Komuravelli village, located in Warangal District of Telangana state. Every Year Jatara is celebrated for three months Jatara Starts with Kalyanam Kalyanam is Performed during last Sunday of Margashira Masam. This year 2025 Jatara Starts on January 19 and ends on March 23. Jatara ends on the last Sunday of Phlaguna Month. Kalyanam is performed two times i.e on the last sunday of Margashira Month and Maha Shivaratri day. Tirumala: Adhyayanotsavam at Srivari Temple from December 30

  The lengthiest of the 450 odd annual festivals observed in Tirumala, the 25-day Adhyayanotsavams are scheduled from December 30 in 2024 to January 23 in 2025.   This festival, also known as Divya Prabandha Pasura Parayanam, usually starts 11 days before Vaikuntha Ekadasi in the holy Dhanurmasa. The first 11 days are called Pagalpattu and the remaining 10 days are called Rapattu.  On the 22nd day Kanninun Shiruthambu, on the 23rd day Ramanuja Nutrandadi, on the 24th day Sri Varaha Swami Sattumora and on the 25th day the Adhyayanotsavams gets completed. During this period, the Sri Vaishnava Jeeyangar Swamijis recite the 4000 Pasurams from Divya Prabandha composed by the 12 Alwars which will be recited in the Ranganayakula Mandapam of Srivari Temple.

Tirumala: Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam on January 07

In connection with Vaikuntha Ekadasi Vaikuntha Dwara Darshanam from January 10-19 next, the temple cleansing fete Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be observed on January 07. On the day of Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam the entire temple premises will be cleansed from 6am to 10am and the Sarva Darshan commences afterwards. Because of this traditional ritual, TTD has canceled VIP Break Darshanam on January 07. As such no recommendation letters for VIP break darshan will be entertained on January 06.
