2020 : Pournami Garuda Seva in Tirumala on November 30

  Karthika Masa Pournami Garuda Seva will be observed on November 30 in four Mada streets of Tirumala between 7pm and 8:30pm.  Similarly the Pushya Masa Pournami Garuda Seva will be observed on January 28, Magha Masa Pournami Garuda Seva on February 27.

2020 : Karthika Parva Deepotsavam on November 29 in Tirumala

The annual Karthika Parva Deepotsavam, the festival of lights will be observed in Tirumala temple on November 29. After the evening Kainkaryams and Naivedyams, the ghee lit lamps in Mukullu will be placed at different places in the temple. This event takes place between 5 pm and 8 pm.  TTD has cancelled Sahasra Deepalankara Seva in view of this festival on that day.

Covid Alert : Guidelines to Visit Temples in Maharashtra.

  The Govt of Maharashtra has issued a list of safety protocols to follow in temples like Shirdi Saibaba, Mumbai Siddivinayak, Shri Vittal Temple, Tulja Bhavani and in other Shrines. Guidelines : Only asymptomatic passengers to be allowed entry. It is mandatory to wear face masks for all visitors. Temple authorities to thermally screen all the visitors and provide hand sanitizers. Large gatherings at temples are prohibited. Sprinkling of holy water and distribution of prasad in the temples is not allowed. Devotees won’t be allowed to touch idols and holy books. There should be a set limit on the daily number of visitors, and staggered timings to be adopted. The Shirdi Sai Baba temple and Siddhivinayak temple will allow entry only to visitors only after they book a fixed time slot through temple website. In Shirdi Sai Baba temple, a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR test result has to be shown at the entry gate. Children between 8-10 years won’t be allowed.
