Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple - Vadapally

Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple is located at Vadapally Village, Miryalaguda Mandal in Nalgonda district in the state of Telangana.


Here Lord Narasimha Swamy is installed by Sage Agasthaya.


It is a miracle in this temple that Lord Narasimha Swamy seems to be breathing as Lamp flickers in Garbhagudi. This is a unique thing about the lord of this place and deepam here is Akanda Deepam.


This temple was built in 1377 A.D


We can see Dwajasthambam near the entrance and Garuda near Dwajasthambam. As we enter inside we have the darshan of Jaya, and Vijaya on either side of the entrance.

 

We have to enter into artha mandapam and inside in the main sanctum we have the darshan of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. There is no separate sanctum for Goddess. This is the only sanctum in the temple. Inside the main sanctum, we see two lamps lit and tied to a pole next to the deity. One lamp is to the height of the main god and the other is halfway down.

 

The light lit by the lamp on the top is wavering where as the one on the other lamp is still. They say the shake in the light is due to the breath of Lord Narashima in the main sanctum.

 

Purana says 6000 years back Agyasthya Muni brought the Siva Kesava idols and he wanted to install them. He traveled through all Lokas and finally, he landed in Bholokaham, as he was heading towards Kasi Kshetram, he heard akasa vani saying that Lord Narashima wanted to be installed at this place where sangamam of River Krishna and River Musi.

 


Devotees who suffer from Childbirth, marriage, and other problems, visit the deity tree and perform to the extent. Locals say if the korkela letter is put into the tree, the problems will be solved within a short period.

Sri Raghavendra Swami was born as the second son of Gopikamba and Thimanna Bhatta in the year 1595. The great saint who was hailed as the incarnation of Prahalada, the great bhakta of Lord Maha Vishnu, was born in the Mrighashirsha Nakshatra at Buvanagiri which is in the present day Tamilnadu. Tirumala: March 2025 Quota Details

  The March 2025 quota of Arjita Seva tickets will be released on December 18 at 10am by TTD online which includes Arjita Sevas viz. Suprabhatam, Tomala, Archana, Astadalam. The devotees shall register for these sevas from December 18-20 and those who got the tickets shall have to pay from December 20 onwards and before the 12noon of December 22. Meanwhile, the Arjita Sevas like Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjita Brahmotsavam, Sahasra Deepalankara Seva tickets will be released at 10am on December 21 while the virtual sevas and gheir darshan slots on the same day at 3pm.
