Skanda Sashti Dates 2023

  Skanda Sasthi is dedicated to Lord Murugan or Subramanya Swamy. It is the sixth day of every lunar fortnight in the Hindu Calendar. The Shasti falling during the waxing phase of the moon is celebrated as the Skanda Sashti. Devotees of Lord Murugan Observe Full or Partial Fast on this day. They also perform Special Pujas to Lord Murugan on this day. Chanting Skanda Sashti kavacham on this day is Auspicious. Devotees organize Bhajan and Kirtan programs on a grand scale.  Married couples with no children offer special prayers to seek Murugan's blessings for a child. Bijethua Mahavir Mandir – Sultanpur

  The Bijethua Mahavir Mandir is situated in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh State. The main deity is lord Hanuman and he is Swayambhu here. One foot of the statue is sunk in the ground, due to this idol looks like little sloping. The priests began digging to straighten the statue after the archaeological department analysed its age. The other end of the statue, however, was not discovered despite more than 100 feet of digging. This temple holds the record of having the most bells of any temple.   Maa Bhattarika Devi Temple is located at Sasanga Village in Baramba tehsil in Cuttack district of Odisha State. It is situated on the banks of the river Mahanadiv. Goddess Bhattarika is an incarnation of Goddess Shakti. Maa Dhamarai Temple – Dhamara

  Maa Dhamarai Temple is located at Dhamara a small coastal village in the Bhadrak district of Odisha State. Goddess Dhamarai is an incarnation of Goddess Shakti. This temple was constructed in the Kalinga Style of architecture. There are several folk tales and legends concerning the deity and the temple. According to one of the historical legends, one merchant namely Dhaneswar who often traded with the Singhalies (Sri Lanka) had brought a deity namely "Pashana Mangala" from Sri Lanka and had established the same at Dhamara on his way back home. The deity later came to be known as Maa Dhamarai.   According to one of the folktales Maa Dhamrai had five sisters and was residing at a place called "Satabhaya". Sri Naina Devi Temple is situated on a hilltop in the Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh State in India. Naina Devi is an incarnation of Goddess Shakti. It is one of the 51 Shakti Peeta Temples In the Temple complex, there is a huge Peepal tree that is acclaimed to be present for many centuries. Mata Chintpurni Mela is a famous event held at Chintpurni Mata Temple in Himachal Pradesh. Also called ‘Mata Da Mela’. Mela will be held three times a year. Pavitrotsavams at Kapilatheertham Temple

  The annual Pavitrotsvams will take place between June 30 and July 2 in Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple in Tirupati with Ankurarpanam on June 29. On the first day Pavitra Pratista, Second Pavitra Puja and on the final day Pavitra Purnahuti will be performed. In the evening Abhishekam will be performed to Sri Kapileswara Swamy, Sri Kamakshi Devi, Sri Vighneswara Swamy, Sri Subrahmanya Swamy, and Sri Chandikeswara Swamy.

Sakshatkara Vaibhavotsavams in Srinivasa Mangapuram Temple

  The annual three-day Sakshatkara Vaibhavotsavams will be observed in Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram between June 24 to 26 while the Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be performed on June 22. Every day there will be Snapana Tirumanjanam to the Utsava deities Sri Bhu sameta Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy between 10am and 11am while in the evening of the first day, Pedda Sesha, the second day of Hanumantha and on the last day Garuda Vahanams will be performed between 7pm and 8pm. PARUVETA UTSAVAM ON JUNE 27: After the three-day annual fete, Paruveta Utsavam will be observed on June 27 at the Paruveta Mandapam located near Srivari Mettu. In connection with these festivities, TTD has canceled Tiruppavada Seva on June 22, and Arjita Kalyanotsavam from June 24 to 27.

Mithuna Sankranti

  Sri Nataraj Swamy Mandir, also known as Uttara Chidambaram Temple is located in Satara of Maharastra State. This temple is under the management of Kanchi Shankar Mutt. Sri Yamai Devi Temple is an ancient temple situated on a hilltop at Aundh in the Satara district of Maharashtra State. The temple is very much revered in Maharashtra.
