Margashira Masam is the ninth month in the Hindu traditional calendar.

Marghashira means the moon enters into Mrugashira Nakshatra.

Worshiping Lord Vishnu is highly auspicious this month.

Lord Sri Krishna also mentioned this month in the Bhagavat Gita.

Devotees observe Margashira Lakshmi vrat on all Thursdays.

Devotees observe river baths in sacred rivers.

Hemanth Ruth will start this month

This month has special Significance in the Vaishnava tradition.

Worshipping Goddess Tulasi in this month is considered highly auspicious.

Panchamrutha Abhishekam should be performed for lord Vishnu during the Ekadasi days.

Margashira Suddha Dwadashi is celebrated as Pushkarini Day in Tirumala. Observing a bath on this is considered auspicious.
