Sri Sivadol Temple Timings - Sivasagar

 

Sri Sivadol Temple  is located in Sivasagar in the  State of Assam.


The Temple is dedicated to Lord Siva, here Lord Shiva is in the form of a reversed Shiva Linga.


The Goddess Durga which are seen carved with 2,4,6,10 and 16 Arms. The 16 Arms Durga holding various weapons.


During the Mahasivarathri a huge mela is organised in the Shiva Temple


During the Hindu month of Shravana (August, September)Hare Krishna Kirtan Chanting of the Hare Krishna Mantra is conducted all through the night.


The Dol Yatra and Rath Yatra are two annual Festivals celebrated at Vishnu Dol.


Sri Durga Pooja is celebrated every year with great fervour during Septemer , October at Devi dol.

The  Temple was constructed in the year of 1734.

Sri Raghavendra Swami Aradhana 2024 Dates

Sri Raghavendra Swami was born as the second son of Gopikamba and Thimanna Bhatta in the year 1595. The great saint who was hailed as the incarnation of Prahalada, the great bhakta of Lord Maha Vishnu, was born in the Mrighashirsha Nakshatra at Buvanagiri which is in the present day Tamilnadu. Born as Venkatanatha and fondly called Venkata Ramana, Sri Raghavendra Swami was the epitome of piety and bhakti. After serving the world and the lord for a lifetime, Sri Raghavendra Swami attained Jeeva Samadhi in the year 1671. It happened on the Dwitiya of Krishna Paksha of the Shravana month.
