Tirumala: Srivari Pushkaraini to Close from August 01

 


As a practice, to undertake cleaning works and civil repairs of Swamy Pushkarini in connection with ensuing brahmotsavams scheduled in September and October this year, the Srivari Pushkarini will remain closed from August 1-31 for cleansing purposes.

TTD has also subsequently canceled Pushkarini Harati till the completion of these works.

Normally there is no stagnation of water in Pushkarani because of the presence of an efficient recycling system with which a ratio of fresh water is recycled regularly.

The TTD water works department conducts a cleaning drive of temple tank waters and after repairs, water with a Ph value of 7 is refilled.

  Sri Azhagiya Singar Perumal Temple is located in Kanchipuram in the State of Tamilnadu. The presiding deity is Mukunda Nayakan who is incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is seated in a Yoga Position.   The once-in-a-year event, the procession of Sri Ugra Srinivasa Murty in Tirumala on the auspicious occasion of Kaisika Dwadasi will take place on November 13. About the unique idol: Among the Pancha Beras(five types of idols), Ugra Srinivasa Murty is considered the Snapana Beram.  The idol of Sri Ugra Srinivasa Murthy was also known as Venkatatturaivar and stands for the anger aspect of the Lord.
