Agni Nakshatram
Agni Nakshatram is the festival dedicated to Lord Murugan
It is celebrated in the state of Tamilnadu.
It is marked by the celestial movement of the Sun through the star named Krittika.
It is also defined by the movement of the sun through the 3rd-4th quarter of Bharani Nakshatra and the 1st quarter of Rohini star.
It is observed in temples like Tiruttani, Palani, Swamimalai, and Tiruchendur.
In some places, Agni nakshatram is considered inauspicious.
During these days Lord Murugan is prayed with dedication for prosperity and well-being.
During this period Giri Pradakshina is performed by devotees. It offers good peace of mind.
In Palani temple, every day abhiseka is performed with water to Lord Murugan.
On the final day of Agni nakshatra, the water is distributed to devotees
