Kalashtami Dates 2024

  Kalashtami is dedicated to Lord Kalabhairava. Observed Krishna Paksha Ashtami Tithi every month. Kalabhairava is a manifestation of Lord Shiva. The greatness of Kalashtami is mentioned in Aditya Purana It is considered auspicious when it falls on Sunday or Tuesday. During Margashira month Kalabhairava Jayanthi is observed. Worshipping Lord Kalabhairava on this day removes all the sufferings, pains, and negative influences from one’s life. Things To do  : Wake up early in the morning and bathe before Sunrise. Devotees visit Kalabhairava temple offer special pujas Reading Kalabhairava Katha and Asthakam will be considered auspicious. Dogs are offered food and Milk. Ayodhya Temple: Important Rituals in Ram Mandir from January 16

The schedule of events and rituals for the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is scheduled to happen between January 16 and January 22.  2024 Schedule  January 16: 'Dashvidh' bath will happen on the banks of river Saryu. The rituals would include Vishnu worship and Godan. January 17: The idol of Lord Ram in his child-like form (Ram Lalla) will be taken in a procession, with devotees carrying Saryu water in Mangal Kalash. January 18: Rituals including Ganesh Ambika Puja, Varun Puja, Matrika Puja, Brahmin Varan, Vastu Puja etc. will take place. January 19: Agni Sthapana, Navagraha Sthapana and Havan will be done. January 20: The sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple will be washed with the holy water of Saryu followed by rituals including Vaastu Shanti and Annadhivas.   Chittaramma Jathara is a festival celebrated at Gajula Ramaaram in Hyderabad. This is one of the most popular Jatara in Telangana state. This Jatara is celebrated in Pushya Masam. Devotees offer Special Pujas to Goddess Chittaramma. Every year this jatara is celebrated on the first Sunday after the Sankranti festival. 2024 Dates : January 19 to 27. Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple – Marehalli

  Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is located in Marehalli Village of Tumkur district in Karnataka State. The temple features a massive mahadvara in the style of the Vijayanagaras. It comprises a garbhagriha preceded by an antarala and navaranga. At the main temple entrance are a Ganesh temple, Pathalankana temple, and Anjaneyaswamy temple on the left.   Maa Sankata Devi Temple is located on the Sindhia Ghat in Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh State. It is believed that the history of the Maa Sankatha temple dates back to the Ramayana.   Masa Shivaratri is a vrat dedicated to Lord Shiva. Observed Chaturdashi tithi every month during Krishna Paksha. Very Powerful and auspicious vrat. Although mentioned in all Puranas, Skanda Purana explains this vrat. In Magha month this day is Celebrated as Maha Shivaratri. The observer of this vrat has the power to get conquer Tamas Guna and Rajas Guna. While meditating on lord shiva on this day the devotee can control Emotions. If a devotee observes this vrat perfectly, then it is equal to and more powerful than performing Aswamedayaga. The devotee can be set free from the repeated cycle of Birth and Death. Pradosh Vrat Dates 2024

  Pradosh vrat is dedicated to Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati. Observed twice a month on the day of Trayodashi(both Krishna Paksha and Shukla Paksha). Pradosh means evening tide or early night. Mentioned in Skanda Purana. Considered Sacred by Lord Shiva's Followers. By observing this vrat will fulfill one’s desire. Falls on Monday – Soma Pradosh ( Desires will come true) Tuesday – Bhauma Pradosh (Improves health conditions and brings prosperity) Wednesday – Saumya Pradosh (Blessed with knowledge and wisdom) Thursday – Guruvara pradosh (Invokes blessings from Ancestors) Friday – Bhrigu Vaara Pradosh (Eliminates Negativity from Life) Saturday – Shani Pradosh (Retrieves lost health and seek Promotion) Sunday – Bhanu Vaara Pradosh (will attain longevity) Things To Do  : Before Sunset take a bath and puja should be performed The best time for Puja is before Sunset and is Considered Auspicious.   Nidhivan Temple is situated in Vrindavan in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh State. Nidhi means Treasure and Van means forest Anybody who spends the night within the temple is said to lose their hearing, have difficulty seeing, or maybe become insane. Another mysterious fact associated with Nidhivan is that if someone tries to see the mysterious Ras Leela by keeping themselves hidden Nidhivan faces serious issues. This is because one can't disclose the secret of this temple. The priest maintains a saree, paan leaves, sweets, holy water, and bracelets in a Rang Mahal inside the shrine. TTD releases Govinda Koti, Bhagavadgita and Local Temple Calendars

  TTD Board released the Govinda Koti book, priced at Rs.111 containing 200 pages. Govinda Namams can be written 39,600 times in each book. To write 10,01,116 Govinda Namams, 26 books are required and to write Govinda Koti (Govinda Namams for one crore times) a total of 253 books are required. TTD has introduced this unique spiritual feat to encourage youth below the age of 25 years to inculcate the habit of writing the divine names as a part of its mission of taking forward Hindu Sanatana Dharma.  On successful completion of writing 10,01,116 Govinda Namams, that person will be provided with a Break Darshan facility by TTD. While for those who complete one crore Govinda Namams, TTD provides Break Darshan and accommodation to five persons. For the convenience of the children and youth, TTD has brought out one lakh copies of a 20-page Bhagavat Gita simplified version in five languages. Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and English will be distributed among the children and students.

  Karthigai deepam or Masik Karthigai is a festival celebrated in Tamilnadu by the devotees of Lord Shiva. Devotees also worship Lord Subramanya on this day.   Sankatahara Chaturthi is celebrated every month on the fourth day of Krishna Paksha. If it falls on Tuesday it is called  Angarika Chaturthi  and is considered auspicious. Observed mostly in south India, particularly in Tamilnadu. Devotees observe fast on this day. After having the darshan of the moon at night, they offer prayer to lord Ganesh.   Things to do    Wake up early in the morning, after having a bath offer prayer to lord Ganesh.
